Baby Jesus Cupcakes
A client of mine called and asked me to make cupcakes for her daughter's school. They were having a Happy Birthday Jesus party for Christmas. My client asked if I could make a baby swaddled in a blanket and lying on hay. This is what I came up with. The baby Jesus is made out of chocolate. Is it o.k. to eat baby Jesus? :) Yellow cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.
Christmas Cupcakes
These were made for a client who wanted to give a friend of hers a dozen cupcakes for the holidays. The decorations are all chocolate. There is edible glitter on each cupcake; it's hard to see the glitter on the cupcake but you can see it sprinkled on the box. Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting.

Birthday Cupcakes
These were ordered from a woman in Denver who has a sister that lives in Naperville. She wanted to surprise her with cupcakes delivered to her door. She asked for red velvet with cream cheese and a fun happy birthday decoration. I always say, cupcakes make a really thoughtful birthday gift. I'm leaving the cupcakes on the front porch so that it will be the first thing her sister sees when she gets home from work. How fun!

1st Birthday Cupcakes & Cookies
These cupcakes and sugar cookie favors were created for a little girl's 1st birthday party. The cupcakes are red velvet with cream cheese frosting and the sugar cookies have a vanilla royal icing. The decorations on top of the cupcakes are chocolate.
I received this really sweet note from my client:
Rose
The cake, cupcakes and cookies were a huge hit and of course everyone asked (foolishly) 1) if I made them and then 2) where I got them. When I told them Naperville, they did think I was a little crazy, but I still think well worth drive. Not only did they look beautiful, they tasted great too. I heard the cookies were good but did not get to try one yet (I saved one for myself.) Should have ordered more cookies. Meredith did not dive into the cake like I thought, instead she took her mini ice cream cone and dug in into the top of the cake. I'll send some pictures once I get them downloaded. Thanks again. Skull & Crossbone Cupcakes
My client requested skull and crossbone cupcake decorations for a co-worker who was leaving the company. They were having a going away party for her and wanted to surprise her with cupcakes decorated in her favorite thing. We decided to make them as "girly" as we could. Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
Automobile Cupcakes
These cupcakes were created for a 2 year old boy's birthday party. His mother said he is obsessed with cars. I decided to make cars, steering wheels and tires. My friend Patty made the cars....she is a pro at sculpting things out of chocolate. All decorations are edible. Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

Wedding Cupcake Tower Slide Show Video
I've created this slide show video (actually my 13 year old did all the work) for prospective brides to look at the different cupcake towers I have created for weddings. Cupcake towers can be decorated many number of ways. These are just a few examples, but the sky is the limit. Cupcakes are really fun at a wedding because you can have as many flavors as you like which translates to guests getting to choose their favorite flavor cake. Enjoy the video!
Victorian Cupcakes
These cupcakes were created for my client's book club meeting. They read "Sin in the Second City", which is set during the early 1900's in Chicago. We decided on a Victorian theme for the cupcakes. I did my interpretation of Victorian lace on a heart. Red Velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
I received this lovely note from my client:
Rose, The cupcakes were a HUGE hit with the ladies of the bookclub.
They were moist and delicious, and perfect with the theme. Thank you so
much for making them. Joan B.

Birthday Cupcakes
Brian, who made my cupcake tower, asked me to make some cupcakes for his friend's birthday. It's always harder to come up with decorations for guys, but I thought why not little cupcakes on big cupcakes. It definitely says "Happy Birthday"! Hope he like them. Yellow cake with chocolate fudge frosting and chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream.
Flower Cupcakes
These were created for a woman from her co-workers. Her office was throwing her a party, because she was leaving the next day to get married in Hawaii. They wanted to surprise her with cupcakes. Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and yellow cupcakes with chocolate fudge frosting. The flowers are modeling chocolate and edible pearl centers.

My first newspaper article
I'm so excited. Below is the link to my first mention in the newspaper. Jessica Young a reporter with the Naperville Reporter Newspaper called me last week because she was doing a story on the popularity of cupcakes. It was fun to talk to her about one of my favorite things. Enjoy the article.

1st Birthday Cupcake Sugar Cookies
These were created as favors for a 1 year olds birthday party. The favors are for all the children attending the party. I just wanted to make these fun and colorful since they are being handed out to all the kids.
I received this note from my client:
Hi Rose,
I just wanted to let you know the cookies were a huge hit on Saturday.
Everyone loved them and thought they were so cute. I will definitely
recommend you and be back in the future for other parties. Thank you

New Cupcake Tower
I love my new cupcake tower. I already own a large 7-tiered stand that is perfect for weddings. I needed something a little smaller for parties that require 100 or less cupcakes on a stand. I had this one made and just love how it turned out. Brian (the artist behind the stand) is also making a three-tiered one for me for even smaller orders. The 3-tiered will be even more decorative and be perfect for birthday parties. If you are interested in your own cupcake stand, please get in touch with me and I'll get you in touch with Brian..........he does great work!
Flower Cupcake Tower
These were created for a client who was having a Luau party for 100 people! We decided to go with bright color frosting and play on that with the flowers as well. Lemon cupcakes with lemon curd buttercream, chocolate cupcakes with coffee buttercream, chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and yellow cupcakes with coffee buttercream. The flowers were made from confectioner's chocolate. I put lemon leaves on the cupcake tower to add to the floral feel of it.
I received this note from my client:
Hi Rose,
I realized I never sent you a formal response to the cupcakes...............they were a big hit at my son's engagement party......everything was moist and delicious. The colors and flowers were perfect. You have a unique talent. I look forward to an opportunity to work with you again and wish you much success.
Judy
Fall Wedding Cupcake Tower
This tower was created for a wedding that was using leaves as their theme. Chocolate and yellow cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting. The leaves were made out of confectioner's chocolate. I used several colors and marbled them to get the effect. The 6 inch cake was made by Sweet P Sweets.
