Birthday Cupcakes

These were ordered from a woman in Denver who has a sister that lives in Naperville. She wanted to surprise her with cupcakes delivered to her door. She asked for red velvet with cream cheese and a fun happy birthday decoration. I always say, cupcakes make a really thoughtful birthday gift. I'm leaving the cupcakes on the front porch so that it will be the first thing her sister sees when she gets home from work. How fun!

1st Birthday Cupcakes & Cookies

These cupcakes and sugar cookie favors were created for a little girl's 1st birthday party. The cupcakes are red velvet with cream cheese frosting and the sugar cookies have a vanilla royal icing. The decorations on top of the cupcakes are chocolate.

I received this really sweet note from my client:

Rose
The cake, cupcakes and cookies were a huge hit and of course everyone asked (foolishly) 1) if I made them and then 2) where I got them. When I told them Naperville, they did think I was a little crazy, but I still think well worth drive. Not only did they look beautiful, they tasted great too. I heard the cookies were good but did not get to try one yet (I saved one for myself.) Should have ordered more cookies. Meredith did not dive into the cake like I thought, instead she took her mini ice cream cone and dug in into the top of the cake. I'll send some pictures once I get them downloaded. Thanks again. Jennifer

New Cupcake Tower

I love my new cupcake tower. I already own a large 7-tiered stand that is perfect for weddings. I needed something a little smaller for parties that require 100 or less cupcakes on a stand. I had this one made and just love how it turned out. Brian (the artist behind the stand) is also making a three-tiered one for me for even smaller orders. The 3-tiered will be even more decorative and be perfect for birthday parties. If you are interested in your own cupcake stand, please get in touch with me and I'll get you in touch with Brian..........he does great work!

Flower Cupcake Tower

These were created for a client who was having a Luau party for 100 people! We decided to go with bright color frosting and play on that with the flowers as well. Lemon cupcakes with lemon curd buttercream, chocolate cupcakes with coffee buttercream, chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and yellow cupcakes with coffee buttercream. The flowers were made from confectioner's chocolate. I put lemon leaves on the cupcake tower to add to the floral feel of it.

I received this note from my client:

Hi Rose,

I realized I never sent you a formal response to the cupcakes...............they were a big hit at my son's engagement party......everything was moist and delicious. The colors and flowers were perfect. You have a unique talent. I look forward to an opportunity to work with you again and wish you much success.
